Implants
Oral Hygiene Instructions
  • Brush at least twice a day, ideally within 30–60 minutes after meals.
  • Use a new soft-bristled toothbrush.
  • Use gentle circular motions around the implant area.
  • Choose a non-abrasive toothpaste to avoid scratching the surface.
Mouthwash & Rinsing
  • Avoid alcohol-based mouthwashes.
  • Rinse with salted water for 20–30 seconds, 2–3 times daily, especially after meals.
Healing & Habits
  • No smoking for at least two weeks post-surgery.
  • Limit alcohol; it may slow healing and interact with medication.
Diet Guidance
  • Prefer a soft diet for the first few days.
  • Avoid hot, spicy, or crunchy foods while healing.
  • Limit sugary and acidic foods.
  • Do not chew hard items like ice or pens.
  • Avoid toothpicks or blunt objects around the gums.
Signs of implant issues
When to Contact Dentakay After-Care Team
  • Redness, swelling, pain, or unusual mobility around the implant. If noted, contact our after-care representative promptly.
Sinus lift procedure
Pressure Control & Activity
  • Avoid sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose for 2–3 weeks. If you must sneeze, keep your mouth open.
  • No heavy lifting, bending, or vigorous exercise that increases sinus pressure.
Habits & Rinsing
  • Avoid smoking for the first 2–3 months.
  • No straws for at least 1–2 weeks.
  • Brush and rinse gently, avoiding the surgical site.
Temporary PMMA restorations
Purpose & Limitations
  • Not designed for chewing or biting. Avoid hard or sticky foods like nuts, crusts, gum, ice, or tough meat.
  • Main purpose is aesthetic during healing.
  • Do not test their strength on hard foods.
Cleaning Routine
  • Brush gently twice daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive toothpaste.
  • Rinse daily with a non-alcoholic mouthwash.
Crowns
Daily Care
  • Use a new soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste twice daily.
  • Use daily mouthwash to control bacteria. Avoid alcohol-based products.
Eating & Sensitivity
  • Avoid sticky and hard foods that increase pressure.
  • Limit sugary foods and drinks to protect crown margins.
  • If sensitivity occurs, avoid very hot or cold foods for a time.
